Recipes

Today I am going through my cookbooks and writing down book, recipe, page number, category so that I can have all of my favorite recipes without having to search. But that is not all!
Flavorful Pot Roast, Corn, Potatoes!
There is a new site called  saymmm.com that was shared with me by OrgJunkie that will be an excellent resource to Menu Planning and Grocery Shopping. I can put in all of my favorite recipes and it will even generate a shopping list when I add them to my menu plan for the week. I am hoping to be able to have my very first Menu Plan for next week. I know that it will take a while to get everything into the digital site, but I can not wait to be able to quickly and easily find our favorite recipes and try some new ones!

For now, here is our favorite crock pot recipe Flavorful Pot Roast

2 2 1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck roasts
1 envelope dry ranch salad dressing mix
1 envelope dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 envelope dry brown gravy mix
1/2 cup water

Optional:
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup water

1. Place the chuck roasts in your crock pot.
2 In a small bowl, combine the salad dressing and gravy mixes. Stir in water. Pour over the meat.
3. Cover and cook on Low 7-8 hours, or until the meat is tender but not dry.
4. If you wish, thicken the cooking juices for gravy. Remove the meat at the end of the cooking time and keep warm on a platter.
5. Turn cooker to High. Bring juices to a boil.
6. Meanwhile, mix 1 Tbsp. flour with 1/2 cup of water in a jar with tight fitting lid. Shake until smooth.
7. When juices come to a boil, pour flour-water into cooker in a thin stream, stirring constantly. Continue cooking and stirring until juices thicken.
8. Serve over meat, or in a side dish along with the meat.
